The Grassland Development Centre

The Grassland Development Centre at IBERS aims to deliver science and information to livestock farmers to improve their efficiency of grassland production and to protect and enhance grassland habitats. Through a range of activities a team of extension workers encourage farmers to improve their businesses by using appropriate practices and by introducing and developing latest technology based on IBERS research.

The GDC extension team, based at IBERS Gogerddan, are delivering into the new farming Connect programme through the Organic, Land Management and Red Meat Development Programmes. Details of the demonstration farm days and discussion group meetings under these programmes can be found on these pages.

Agri environment training available to Tir Gofal agreement holders is to be delivered for Farming Connect by the partnership of GDC IBERS/ FWAG CYMRU and Pembrokeshire College. Please look out for more details when the programme for this year is fully developed.
